Default any Krell wizards ?

I have a Krell KRC 2 with a problem
Machine is fully functional except volume control on the panel ...( works perfectly via remote control ) Digital encoder drives a mp working with led and photo resistors.

Voltage and scope says that encoder is working ok ....seems also that this is failure appeared before.

Any one has an idea ?

Kind regards
sakis

Perhaps there has been a static discharge through the encoder and it has blown the input to the microcontroller ?

Best rewatch "Forbidden Planet" and learn their Technological Secrets.
Maybe find a surviving Grip who worked on that movie set and ask him?
Gawd! still can't comprehend what kind of a mind would name their Audio products thusly.

I've always thought the name was clever as it conjures images of immense power in my mind, notwithstanding the other implications of infinite power running amok.. The product styling has a striking resemblance as well, and the movie is a classic of the genre..

Maybe I am over analyzing, but I think the choice well considered.. (Memorable - do you have any trouble remembering it?)

Krell nice helpful guys ...only asking 126USD for the encoder ..Let us not forget that they might be also wrong and the fault lays with the mp ...
