Default Decoupling for battery based opamp circuits

Hi all.
When building circuits with opamps in audio applications, powered by a battery, do I still need to decouple the supply rails? My application is for single supply ie one 9v battery.
If so, what cap values should I use?

Definitely still do it. At least to hear how it sounds and then choose. Use 100uf plus a .1uf. The caps can discharge power to your opamp faster than the battery can, even though the battery IS fast. So, yes, put in a few caps and listen then unsolder one of their legs and listen.
purchase LDRs anytime Also try my Resistor Replacers or LDR based Input Selector Email me.

The caps will be nearer the opamp, which is the main issue.

Yes, you have to damp the wiring and circuit board inductance,so the same rules apply.
