How would like the idea of making any surface in your house, either a window, a conference table, or your marble countertop and refrig doors, into a speaker?
Check out Terfenol-D, a magnetically driven smart metal that vibrates in the presence of a magnetic field. The "driver" is about the size of your fists and go for sale at $1500 a pair, from etrema. Sounds like a very interesting idea. |

Check out SoundBug, a magnetically driven piece of crap that vibrates in the presence of a magnetic field. The "driver" is about the size of your fists and go for sale at $50 a pair, from shady internet stores worlwide. Sounds like a very interesting idea. (Just kidding, millwood )
