I've started drawing out my protection board,
And have some more questions as usual. Out of both circuits which is the better way of detecting DC, or are they not implemented correctly. Thanks |

So if one amplifier goes positive 1V and the other goes negative 1V everything is OK?
What is the threshold of your circuit? I would recommend using independent detection circuits. You could still combine the outputs to shut off both channels if you wish. I would recommend four comparators for a stereo setup...there are other ways as well.

Here is another circuit for DC detection and also a clipping detection circuit. A comparator is not a bad addition. I use something similar to this along with a timer IC to trigger a flip-flop.
