One of my M-Design Eleganza Bellas has developed a problem with its plate amp. (It's likely substantially similar to the Dayton SPA-500, though it has a narrow plate and the transformer is on a separate panel; my M-Design Eleganza Godfather uses a rebadged Dayton plate amp.) It's intermittent. It will play just fine for a few seconds, and then cut out.
Does the same thing in always-on mode and signal-sensing mode. It seems to last longer with the gain on full compared to minimal gain.
Worth taking a look at, or should I just scrap the amp?
