Default Hiraga super class A with SJEP120R100A?

I want to build a Hiraga class A amp but using semi south SJEP120R100A. Can we use this? This transistor has very low distortion figures..
love to use that..

i dont think there are complimentary pairs so the design would change...

yep no complementary pairs for the semisouth SIC FETs, so M. Hiraga's designs are probably out - except the push-pull nemesis I guess but that needs an output transformer. Maybe he has a quasi-complementary design out there - I guess someone can point that out.

One of Kaneda's amps may suit (schema below) but I'd probably go for one below which is off a japanese guru's site (i forget where i got the link but for sure it was from this forum) - link is: http://www.geocities.jp/mutsu562000/...m/e/hp179e.htm

Little knowledge is a dangerous thing but i *think* youd be able to get to the right ballpark by yanking out (for both fets) the 150R thermistor+100R resistor and replacing with maybe a 500R pot to get the bias correct.....
