Hi

This power supply for guitar effector.

I hope changing the cap can make the sound more better. I find out Panasonic FC sound is better than original jamicon.

What efect can a filter cap on the supply can possibly have on the quality of the sound? It's role is to filter the hum, it's enough to choose a sufficient capacity so the mains noise wount get trough, the qualty of the sound it's influenced by the power amp it's self.

BP = Bipolar
? Yes !
Whatever ... I have them in my preamplifier , and they are polarized .
Don't know if you can make any real judgment upon musical quality if you
use them in an 'effect' circuit .

So, secret caps = expensive effects?

In the power supply, if it keeps the rails stiff, and doesn't dip and let ripple through, good
