Unhappy Speaker protection and delay from diy store

Has anyone built the speaker protection and turn on delay circuit from the store here? How does it perform? Any measurable changes in audio? Also what relays did you use?

Thanks for your answers - Yes, I have some damaged speakers and want to avoid having the problem again.
