What to test car amp with

What is a good power supply to test a car amp with? Will a 12v/3amp supply work? I don't want to run it in my house for my stereo, just want to test it to some speakers to see how they sound. Cheaper would be better. Oh, I have a Blade Technologies 6 x 100 watts RMS (BASH technology) if that helps, and I think there are three 25 watt fuses on it.
