JVC 4vn-990 is it worth buying?

JVC 4VN-990 - Found this in a second hand store for $99, do you think it is worth that much? Seems to be in good condition.

It's a quadraphonic amp which means it must be getting pretty close to 40yrs old. It will need to be recapped, and probably the thermal grease has dried out necessitating disassembly and cleaning of the heat sink(s) and output devices.

You will also need to like '70s transistor sound, which is an acquired but gladly forgotten taste.
'Nice front panel that might suit a 2012, 4.1 channel DIY build amp. for your PC.
Buy it for the box and power transformer but don't expect to use it as is.

It do 35W/8R/channel , quite enough..
It is built using modular boards that are plugged in connectors ,
while the power amp parts are classic single differential LIN.
