We had spring cleaning today and i am building a pair of speakers parallel. i am quite exhausted. I tested the current sources. They work but one channel started to smoke when i cranked the voltage. More testing tomorrow, sorry guys.

What do you think LC ?
I can hand you the modules on the High End and then you can play around with them. I am simply running out of time. |

OK, when i find the time i will make the moduls working. Problem is that i have a lot of guests after the High End so the next two weeks it may be hard to find time for DIY. Anyway, this is exiting.

Hi guys
![]() A day off from the forum, so where did we stay. ![]() Yes Gerhard, that modules looks great, very compact, just to mine taste hehe Smoke you said, tiny little black thingy was black before anyway, smoken, no help for him anymore. ![]() So there's obviously some mistake inside that module, plus smoken part to find. We'll use sniffy doggy style to find him, he certainly didn't have a shower in between. That's sorted ![]() Second module stays a side, first one to repair. It's good that it will operate the same with or without outputs. CCS can be isolated and tested separately, for the inputs you have to measure each BJT diodes to check functionality plus correct position in the circuit. ![]() But you already know all that, it's just that your time schedule is too tight to fit in, I know. Well if you don't find a solution before just bring them to High End and we'll discuss from there on.

ALF16P16W and ALF16N16W as output with 2SK216 and 2SJ79 as driver.
The ALF has the double gfs than ECX10n20 and ECX10p20 (1.4 - 4S against 0.7 - 2S) What about a sense resistor in series with the source for setting the idle current. I think of the size of 0.05R!??? |
