Hi i have a pioneer A400 the volume pot has been damaged its a 4 legged dual 100k B x2 the fouth leg is a tap on the track i have put a normal pot in place of the original one which works but there is a gap as you start to turn the volume up ( silence ) then the sound kicks in anyone know where i can get hold of a replacement or modify the amp so a normal pot works across the full volume range any help will be very appreciated.
Schematic with parts list available here :- www.audio-circuit.dk/schematics_o-r.php
Then scroll down to find Pioneer A400.
The pot appears to be a multi purpose linear pot . Use pin 4 to connect to a resistor as they have done to give it a logarithmic effect .
The schematic says its a dual gang 50K tho .
