Hi!
My Denon PMA-700AE started very suddenly making a popping sound on the left channel on all sources. The controls affect the problem, turning down the volume also silences the popping and fiddling with tone controls make a difference. So pre-amp problem definitely. Also engaging the source direct at certain volume level (with no input signal) gives a loud transient and drives the amp to protect. And all this happens with nothing connected at inputs, only speakers. Any ideas as to what look for? -Tommi |
