Hey guys. I am in need of help. For years I have only built devices with tubes. Tube amps, tube pre-amps, a nixie clock, its an illness. I got rid of my Denon receiver years ago.
Well now I need some power. I have no desire to try to get a hundred watts out of a tube amp mainly due to the cost and the fact the my main speakers are Fostex FE203en-s for which I have a Tubelab SE at the moment. I have a pair of Zaph's L18 speakers I want to set up and I need some watts. They simply do not sound good with low power and the low damping factor of most of my tube amps. Can anyone reccomend a kit or a PCB that would be good for 100-150 watts? I am not kidding when I say that I have absolutely no idea where to begin. Thanks for your input!! -Lost in sandland |

You can try any STK4044 series. They work fine, there are versions of about 100W, and are easy to build. Here in Argentina, they are a bit expensive, but I make some amplifiers to make a sound system in supermarkets, and perform very well.
Best regards.
