I use several of both of these in a project and I believe that there might be issues of the opamps going out of spec.
I am considering modifying the amplifiers in both A500 and B2031A to bypass the opamps and/or installing balanced to balanced, or balanced to unbalanced transformers (if the input circuitry was bypassed) eg Jensen Transformers Jensen JT-11P-1 Line Input Transformer Audio Hum & Noise Eliminators at Markertek.com. To this end I have a copy of the A500 circuit diagram, but not for the B2031A. Anyone have a copy? Cheers, Ian |
