Replacement for 2sc4007

can i use TIP122 instead of 2sc4007 for driver stage?

Rather not, tip122 is a darlington, mje243 is a good choice.

Fairchild recommends the KSD526 as a replacement for the 2SC4007

It depends on the application but if you don't know the difference between a Darlington configuration and a regular transistor, you should probably not use one.

Their use is as drivers, a little triky with these circuits especially transformer coupled ones.
I personally would rather try finding a transistor closer to the original.

What other parts can you obtain.

MJE3055AT is available but dont know whether it is suitable or not
