IN THE ....year 2012 disco systems operate with class D, G ,H amplifiers providing thousands and thousands of watts in 8 ohms loads ....

This is the instrumental music amplifier, good for classical music concerts. Load of the amplifier are speakers with normal power output (4.5W). Each speaker above the power P = 4.5W burns and therefore the disco sound can be done differently.
