I have a BK ST 140 witch has one channel that works normal and one channel that is very weak and thin unless I turn the balance all the way to that side and crank up the volume high but even then then the bass is nearly non existent...I have swapped speakers, cables, interconnects and source so I know for sure the amp is the issue...I am an electrician but I'm no electronics tech...If any one had this issue and has resolved it I would greatly appreciate some feedback...thanks
Thanks djk...where would that be located?..I know the circuit board for the st 140 seems fairly simple looking...perhaps I should change all the caps??Check the cap in the feedback loop to ground, and the input cap.
If you can provide a photo, I could mark it for you.
Otherwise, change all the small electrolytics (if over about 7 years old this is worthwhile anyway).

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
