What do you mean by germanium amplifier?

Do you mean say the old Germanium Transistors used in the 60 years??

There was one company that came out with a line of high power germanium power transistors that looked very promising. I thought it was "Germanium Power Devices", but they seem to be focused on opto and avalanche devices.

And what does any of this have to do with FR speakers? Move it to the S/S forum if there's any real interest.
