Hi,
I am using capacitance multiplier in my PSU, it is just darlington pair made from BC550 driver and 2CS5200. My question is how much current is passing through the driver transistor (BC550) if amplifier draws say 1A from PSU? |

Something like 10mA and considering the low voltage loss for a VBEM ,
it will dissipate about 20mW ,but it s better to use a BD139 as driver, one never knows.... |
