Default CM Labs CC-2 Preamp Repair/Upgrade

I have a CM Labs CC-2 preamp that needs service and possibly upgraded. It was a fine unit when it was up to snuff. I shipped it once to someone who depicted himself as able to repair anything audio to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.
