I have a pair of Universal Tigers that finally died after years of reliable service. I'm not concerned with any perceived shortcomings, I'm just interested in a reliable and interested party would could bring them back to functionality and even upgrade them to whatever extent. Thanks.

I would suggest doing a search and reading the threads on the Tiger amps, there are one or two with useful information.
Merely doing a "repair" would likely cause them to let the "magic smoke" back out. So, whomever you get to do the repair for you ought to take into account the combined knowledge and information in those threads... one of which is rather recent. _-_-bear
