Hi
I 'd like to buy a vintage power amp designed by James Bongiorno. He has designed GAS Ampzilla and the Sumo Andromeda. which one was the best ? |

I think I can advise you which ones NOT to get, stay away from the Ampzilla II (unstable), the IIa is OK and make sure if you find an Andromeda make sure it's a I and NOT a II or III, those were NOT James' designs. The I (one) has BJTs and the II and III are MOSFETs. Also only the earliest Ampzillas were James' but you hardly ever see those for sale at least I haven't.
