Hello everybody.
I am a newbie in this forum; this is my first post.
I am not expert in forum & Co; i write this post, with hope that no errors occurred.

I am here asking a question about an BGW final amplifier module, that a friend of mine had gifted me, time ago.
The module is located in a standard rack 3 unit, with power supply . No label on front or rear panel.
On the printed circuit there are these numbers: T9007 0760.
I've not other infos.
I would like to found the schematic diagram and the technical specs of it.
And, not last, the procedure for correct "biasing", and the value of idle current.
(There are NO trimmer on the module !?!?)
Could anyone help me ?
Here is a pics of the module.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Thank you folks for your support.
(sorry for my bad english, this post is made with google's translator)
Regards
Flavio

Bgw Power Amp

Hello,

I have some BGW power amplifiers and schematics.
As far as bias i can tell you that mine have a fixed resistor to handle the bias setting. So no trimmers there.
I can only answer during the weekend,so if you can wait i"ll look it up next weekend and report to you.

hey, Flavio, it's easy to use forum attachment ( 'go advanced' )

Thank you tinitus for the info.
Be patient, i'll be a disaster about forum usage.
I feel very incompetent when i use "digitals machines" like the computer (and internet).
I hate computers...but, today, are indispensables.
My friends call me: "analog man"

Time to time i'll be more expert.

Bgw amp Pcb

Hello again;

I took the time to open one of my Bgw amps to check the Pcb numbering.
Mine are model 750G and have the same pcb number T9007-0760.
They hold 10 Sanken output transistors (MT-200 case) per channel.
As i wrote before, bias is done by a fixed resistor so no tweaks there.
Does the amp work?If it works don't fix it...
Some surfing on BGW 750G will give you enough spec's.
Those are very good power amps, price new was +/- 2000$.
The schematic of model 250g should be similar to 750f.
Hope i gave you the info you needed,BGW-website can help you with more (service) info.

Many thanks Jorre for this info.

I've found in internet some schematic diagram of bgw amplifiers. Seem to be like mine.
Six of those BGW modules, are in my hands; don't know if they work or not.
They came from an enormous rack, of a very very old cinema- discotheque. I think dated end of 80's.
Unused from 10 years or more, were picked up before they went to junkyard;... "Kilograms of dusty".
Too late for the other things, already crushed and minced....
.
Returning on my idea, i've some transformers, some capacitors, so i'll try to build some amplifiers with this objects.
.
I've some doubt about the "proper value" of the supply voltages to use. I'll try to see the data sheet of the transistors, to understands the maximum limits, and i'll see the voltage values of the power supply capacitors, on BGW schematics, that i've found.
.
Now i haven't much time.
First the Job, then the hobby.
-
At Christmas time, in "job pause", i'll write some news about my experiments with those BGW modules.
With hope they'll create interest.
I'll do some amplifier's test with benchtop power supply, dummy load, and some measurements with oscilloscope, audio generator and spectrum analyzer.
I will put here some pics.

See you soon !
