I've currently got a Le Pacific I built in my main system and I'm very happy with the sound I'm getting from the 2SK170's. a bit prone to microphonics but all round a lovely sound.
I'm going to build a similar battery powered version which I'd like to couple in the same housing with a headphone amplifier. This would be mainly be for portibility (where-ever I can find a quiet room!!) So I thought I'd basically couple a Le Pacific to a CMOY in a housing. both tried and tested designes. Problem is the Le Pacific is a single supply (24v) design and the Cmoy is a (+/-) design. I think it should be possible to run the CMOY of a single supply I'm just not sure how (I'm thinking of biasing the input perhaps). any help getting started with that please? |
