Simply get a pair of these. No need to calculate anything or do any soldering.

Ask Google/Yahoo/Yahoogle/whatever about "RCA attenuator" for a supplier in your neighbourhood.

Do you know the input impedance of your amplifier ?

Or do you have a schematic ?

Or do you have a specifications of the amplifier?

Or at least tell what kind of amplifier are you talking about...

Then somebody will de able to calculate something ....
