Default Unknown Amplifier.

Here's another one that I have not heard of.
Just bought on EBAY but not received yet.
A 600w/ch Mosfet amp, "Soundpro FA1200."
made by Soundpower? Seems to be all the info I can get right now apart from that it weighs 30kgs plus. (Boat-anchor maybe?)

Anyone heard of this kind yet?

Wow guys, I can't believe nobody has heard of this....unless its a homemade one that looks the part...silkscreened front panel etc.

Oh well, thanks for looking, I will find out when it arrives. Maybe in for a shock!

Ok, looks like its a Chinese "Alibaba" special. (Wonder why they chose to call it Alibaba....do they know the story of the 40 thieves?) Fat lot of hope I have of finding CCT diagrams.....
Two huge toroidal transformers, 2SJ056/2SK176 Hitachi outputs (5 of each per channel!) on a fan cooled heat-sink, input controls and a set of I.Cs in the driver stage.

What is the best way to check if the outputs are OK, besides replacing the 4A fuses and plugging it in no load? .......... Sounds like a start.

No cigar for finding out what my next project is. Doh!

Why not post some pictures ? The brand name kinda sounds like a PA or caramp manufacturer.
