I think Owen's probably as interested in the results for the DPS-500 as I am.

Can I just confirm the price each for these please.

€136??

Is that + 20% VAT into the UK? And the £10 import fee?

+ €22 for shipping?

It'll be 2 x DPS-600-65/75V (Reg LME)

I estimate that at about £318 a pair delivered?

Is a heatsink needed for this? Are specific connectors needed? Can I solder power wires to the board?

Thanks.

AP2 managed to get the final price down for us to 140 € including VAT (per SMPS). The shipping is 22 €.

There should be terminals to connect the wires and i think AP2 will show some pictures of that in the coming days. And he said that all screws and plugs are included in the price

has to be solder, the screw terminals suck the life right out of the sound I must admit though, I will likely solder it too if possible for the terminals to be left for us to install. initially for testing i'll rig up something to clip leads to

bloody paypal and their double dipping, conversion to EU I got at 0.758, but its actually 0.785, plus they will take the fee from Roberto.

As do thin mains cables However, I'm wondering if that will not be the case for these SMPS. Which will be good.

Thanks for your responses Q, l and q

I just had a look at the website for UK Customs Duty, Excise Duty and import VAT:

"For goods brought in or sent to the UK from the EU there's no extra VAT to pay."

No Import fee either. Excellent

so; €140 = £113 x 2 = £226 + £17.80 = £243.80 delivered.

Or I could perhaps just about get 2 x 600VA transformers and 2 x 80,000uF 80V for that. I already own about 80 x 10,000uF, new and unused, mostly 100V and 10 x 1kVA and about 10 smaller Trafos.
