to Change tweeter protection device

I have tried circuit2 for 3" VC compression driver assuming it to be 50W.
But 2N 3055 become s too hot. it is 15A device.
Can i substitute it with TIP 35 which is 25A device ?
Or replacing the transistors with Mosfet will be better?
Any other suggestion also ok.

scrap the circuit and put a turn signal light bulb in series with the tweeter.

That would be something like a 1157 bulb

21W 12V tungsten filament, or there abouts.
