I have a Harman kardon HK595 subwoofer module. I do not have the speakers which have the power, level, and mode buttons, just the bass module. I would like to try using the components from the highly complicated amp to build a new amp. What would it take to do that? Where should I start?

The most expensive components in an amplifier are (in no particular order) the case, transformer, regulating capacitors, heatsink, PC board, switches, potentiometers and output transistors.
In this case I guess you can recycle the transformer, regulating capacitors and heatsink. Maybe the output devices as well. What are they? |
