1.5Kw into 2 ohms ?

A tenth of that is a tall order...

As if he is gonna build it in India... I have lived there enough to know, what you actually get there! Everything goes by PMPO back there... So may be, he just wanted a 1.5kW commercial PMPO which is something like 15W RMS by all practical means...

IOW, 54V/sqrt 2=38V, (38V/2)38V=729Wrms @ 2R. This would require several output transistors with a linear power amplifier. Class D?...

I don't think we should ridicule ajikumar because he has some rather awkward requirement. Let us give the man a chance to explain exactly what he is after then decide how we can help him or guide him to success.

It is a little sad when anybody takes the opportunity to ask for some help and it differs from what we think or know that the guy is immediately run into the mud.

Ajikumar tell us exactly what you expect or want to do and I am sure one of us are quite capable to assist you in your quest.

Well., I am sorry, if my comments appeared like ridiculing... It is just my general aversion towards caps and SMS/Text message lingo on the forums...

Anyway coming to his requirement, Class-D is the only thing, I can think of in practical terms... Or is he only looking at a SS design(considering that's where he has posted)?

But the main question is why... Why is this peculiar requirement? Is it for home use? If yes, then why 1.5kW?

Ronj, I appreciate your comment. What if he is Royalty and lives in a palace with rooms as bigger than a movie theatre, we don't know.

Let the man speak and tell us what he is after. I also share your sentiment that he may save a lot of trouble and just purchase a powerful PA amp. As we know DIY is by no means a cheap nor simple hobby.
