It worked perfect for years until I accidentally had the power button pushed in when I plugged in the power cable. I heard a "pop" and it will not turn on.
I have basically zero knowledge about this...did I blow the fuse? If so, where can I buy a new one. Thanks in advance! |

Um, the power switch should do the exact thing as plugging it in, so i don't see why it'd blow up.
Perhaps just the mains input fuse blew from beeing weakened over the years from the turn on current inrush.

it could be you burned a contact finger in the power cord socket, or burned a mating contact. have you tried a different cord? you could also have opened the fuse, but they use time delay (slow-blow) fuses on these amps because of the inrush current, so it's more likely you burned the contact in the end of the power cord. that would have been the popping sound you heard, the end of the power cord contact vaporizing. some IEC cables only have "half" contacts in the connector, which means they don't make contact with the whole length of the pin in the socket, just half of it. with those cables, the plug must be seated all the way in to the socket to make contact. if you burn off the end of the contact in the plug, it won't make contact.
