Need help diagnosing/fixing/finding something to do with Marantz 2225

I had been using this receiver in a secondary system for my computer until the 1/8" cord was tripped on and yanked out as it was playing. I heard a loud pop and although the amp still turns on and lights up, there's no sound coming from the speaker terminals or the headphone jack. The phono preamp is still working, and that's what I'm using it for right now (through the tape loop).

I visited Rebuild Your Marantz 2225 Receiver and got the impression that basically every part in it could use replacing. Even if I can get the output working, I'm wondering if this is worthwhile when I have other, modern, working equipment. I don't have any experience working with amps but I suppose I could take this as a chance to learn.

Any ideas what the problem might be? Should I just salvage the pretty case and the transformers and replace the guts?

you may just get away with a simple fuse ...
though the link you posted is correct and at this age most of the electrolytics will need to be replaced

other than that you need to have some skills to do that and also there is a safety issue involved and you need to be carefull

Those are nice pieces of gear. IMO,it's worth fixing/having it fixed.

I opened it up and the 2 fuses I found looked fine. Tested them with a voltmeter and they seem to be good. What else might it be? I'm a college student with no job and a long-distance girlfriend...I have nothing but time on my hands to do this.

good ..can you read a schematic ? i f so you need to verify all voltage according to it
