Hello to all. Getting ready to recap my aa1640 heathkit amp. Are there any mods I should do while I have it open.

The only mod or fix that I know of is to bypass one of the diodes in the bias circuit with resistor (22 Ohms, I think). This was a fix from Heathkit to prevent thermal runaway on some units. My AA1640 isn't modded and doesn't have the problem. Google it to make sure of the details. Other than that I haven't seen anything else.
