One pair output stage using complementaries can benefit from hFE matching. This equalises the currents drawn by the bases and supplied by the drivers.

A two pair (or more) needs all the N type matched for Vbe (Vgs) and all the P type matched as well. Matching Vbe between N type and P type is almost impossible in multi-output pairs. Matching for hFE may be possible for multi-output pairs but is less important than Vbe/Vgs.

Hello,
I am also looking for such transistors, to repair one fried channel on my LC Ausio ZAPsolute Mk4.1.
I was wondering if I need to match them (there emitter resistors 3 x .27 Ohm in //)
And also looking for a reliable supplier for genuine parts in Western Europe (I leave in Paris).
Thank you for your help.

Is the output stage 1pair using paralleled emitter resistors?
or
Is the output stage 3pair using single emitter resistors for each output device?

Default Sanken 2SA1216/2SC2922

There is only one pair per chanel, with 3 paralleled emitter resistors.

I have attached some pics, showing the faulty area : R234 is burnt.

You do not need to match.
But, you will need to check output bias current and adjust as necessary.
This may change the output offset and need adjustment as well.
