My little Fender Frontman starting blowing fuses. A guy in another forum suggested I remove the TDA2050 and now the amp will stay on. Is there a way to actually test the 2050 to see if it's good or bad? Also, where can I buy a new one? Thanks from someone that's just started trying to repair his own stuff. DC
Only way to test is to build it into a test circuit... an amp in other words.
If removing it has stopped the fuse blowing then you can be 99% certain its just the IC.
