I have seen other postings (whether on this site or others) with folks who have had this same problem. But of course, now I cannot find them… regardless, I have a very specific question that hopefully somebody can help me out with.
I have a Behringer A500 reference amp that has acquired a “buzz” when the volume knobs are cranked all the way up to full. From what I remember reading, this particular problem has something to do with the pots causing issues elsewhere in the amp (or something, I am clueless). I have tried cleaning them, but no change. I sincerely don’t care to even have the ability to adjust the volume. The application I use the amp for I am running it wide open and bridged. My thought was to just remove, or bypass the pot all together. So, my question… Can I do that? If so, the pots have a black, white and red wire attached. Which do I jump to run it wide open? I have attached pics of the pot. ![]()

Red is input and white is output so join these two together.
Leave the black floating.
