Default QSC USA 900

What happens if I run a QSC USA 900 power amp in Mono-Bridged mode with less than 8 ohm?
It is rated with 450 Watts at 16 ohm and 900 Watts at 8 ohm but says nothing about 4 ohm or even 2 ohm.
In Stereo Mode it goes down to 550 Watts at 2 ohm.

For bridged mode you take the minimum for each channel in stereo and add them together. For example if the minimum in stereo is 4 Ohms per channel, 4+4=8. The minimum for bridged would be 8 Ohms. I have a 1400 which is almost like a a 900 and it's minimum is 8 Ohms in bridged mode.

way too risky if load is demanding and power is close to clip ... If it works for some time before is fried expect to be able to fry eggs on the covers

add to this that amplifier is old any way and expect to fail if pushed hard

small technical detail is that usa 900 doesnt feature a real VI limmiter just a couple of resistors that will drive the excesive ammount of drive to ground ... in a situation that you had a real VI limiter there was a chance that this will work under the aspect that the limmiter it shelf will protect the amp from failing but also from delivering the full ammount of power to the output...

so its a no all the way through ... get a behringer ep 4000 .... 340 EUROS and will kick your speakers to mars ...at least
