Just the same as the positive rail but reverse the polarity of the polarised 1uf cap.
Appart from the teething problems I always seem to get, once they where out of the way everything works fine. |

A lot stuff about regulators are in " The Art of electronics " - Cambridge University Press.
There are many applications of discrette and ic's regulators - good discrette regulators, like this one in cool follower, but with jfet, have about 20dB less hum than IC's. You could try regulated power supply in power amplifier, (e.g. Zen v5 www.passdiy.com) LM317 + power NPN is a good idea. |

Can anyone comment on either theoretical or actual performance of this design relative to the standard single regulator design?
