I'm doing a little subwoofer DIY, looks like i want to connect my drivers ( 2 x 8 ohms) at 16 ohms, because performance seems smoother (more controllable) then 4 ohms, so far?.
Its an older sony i sourced from a thrift store, removed the driver/box from and only want to use the amp. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SA-WM250-.../dp/B00026KYFS 16 ohms ok or will bring certain death to the little guy over time? i have a new DMM and i 'think' the original driver is 6 ohm |

I know of no products (except for maybe old tube amps) which have a problem running higher resistance loads. So it won't be a problem.
