Default Proton AA 1150

Hi . I need some guidance regarding a Proton AA 1150 power amplifier.
Its from the 90s and although it is working very well i think it could do with a recap. Im quite handy with a soldering iron but have no idea about caps. Is there good caps and not so good ones? what are the beneifits of recapping and could somebody point me in the right direction please. many thanks.
