Could this configuration of output stage be used for headphone amplifier.

Of course: input circuit ,voltage gain and feedback is needed

Nice, I like a lot.

Myself would certainly change input BJT's with mosfet's.

Maybe I miss something, but I fail to see how the circuit will bias itself.

On the other hand, if it happens to be biased (by a divine intervention f.e.), and the current through the output devices exceeds ~100mA, it will behave like a composite SCR, short the supplies and self-destruct.
