Nikko TRM-50 1969 opinion

Hi,

I bought a beautiful Nikko TRM-50 pre/amplifier. It is non-operational and I consider either buying missing parts (some kind of an IC), which might be difficult or reuse the enclosure. I know the latter is a blasphemy.
Does anyone have any experiences with it, either acoustic or servicing?
I just wonder if it is worth, from the audio quality standpoint, rebuilding.

A schematic would be a good start.
Pre amps are usually quite easy to fix as they dont have a loop like power amps.
Just follow the schematic through from the input until something looks wrong.

Thanks, for the reply. I know I should start with the schematic, which I don't have at the moment. I could not find one in the web, just paid service manuals. The price of the amp itself is the same as a manual one, so I have been considering if repairing is worth money. Next thing is spare parts. If it were standard discrete elements - no problem, yet I can see a specialized part is missing and there may be a problem to reconstruct. I will post a picture of it later.
