Default Parts substitute on web?

Hi all,
Does anyone know if a parts substutute web page exists, i.e. where one can look up what transistors, diodes etc can be substituted for others.
Or better still, does this exist in downloadable form?

It requires for you to register (free account with restrictions also possible), but it's a very good place for part info, including possible substitutes.

They recently changed their policy. Some datasheets are no longer available if you are not a paying user : ( but I think it is still valuable source of information.

Thanks Ergo,
Bye the way, thanks for the documents you sent me, I will probably first build the PA300, as the Titan seems to be quite complex.
