I have an SWR bass combo and the EQ section is unusually noisy. Long story short, before I started messing with capacitors and tore into the power section I figured a good and effective place to start would be to replace the op amps (and being a lower end amp, I figured op amps would be the first place the manufacturer would cut quality to save costs).
The op amps in the amp are all TL072CP and I am looking for a low noise drop-in replacement. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

The TL072 is a JFET input op-amp. I would suspect something like an LME49720 would be a reasonable replacement. It's certainly many orders of magnitude higher performance.
