I bought an old Sony TA-N7B,
and before powering it up and connecting it to the speakers, i would like to know who has experience with these amps, and what i should check before doing so. Please share your experience with these amps. kind regards, |

Have it been stored for a very long time ?
Start it up with a 60 watt light bulb in series with the mains to limit current. Then if it powers up and the lamp is dim, then measure the dc offset on the speaker outputs. If everything is fine, the amp is ready to use. Just plug it in and enjoy some music. |

That is a SUPERB amplifier - I am extremely envious!
