Default Old amplifier circuit looks familiar

This is the circuit from an old Nikko NA2000 amplifier i used to have some years ago:

When stripped of the limiter around the drivers and output transistors and tone controls its actually kindof familiar.

But i wonder is that extra stage after the LTP really needed ?

I cleaned this circuit up because i got asked if i had a dc coupled amplifier.
