Would this be audiophile quality? I can't find anything better. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

General type potentiometers including Alpine pots are not so good for the sound.
DACT is a much better option. imho tone control is not a proper way to correct audio tract anyway. Too many efforts implemented in good audio equipment to have even response in 20Hz-20kHz band to spoil it with tone control afterwards. Much better way would be get modern Ashly equalizer and do setup once using equipment that can measure audio system response. |

Thanks Check out Rod Elliots P97 pre amp board. I use them in my pre amp/control unit. Put in metal film resistors and LM4562 or BB op amps. Sounds very nice. |

I have a Behringer DEQ2496 with ECM8000 mic. Used the auto eq function and sound is worse - dead, lifeless.
Besides have too many boxes, wires, I/C's, power cords as it is. |

Jrockhead, yes Rod Elliot makes some nice stuff. Problem is, that board boosts 20Hz and 20kHz.
Hi-Fi Preamplifier I'm looking for 100 hz and 10kHz. Is there a way to change to boost frequencies??? |
