Default !!DC Leakage!!

I know DC leakage can harm drivers but can it harm crossovers?

DC current at the rating of the low pass inductor ratings, if large enough, could burn them out....but we are talking amps

DC current wound harm capacitors unless the applied voltage exceeds the voltage rating of the capacitors.

same issue for band pass inductors...it depends on the current rating of the inductors.

Speakerfritz you wrote in a ealier thread about a dc offset regulator, i have an adcom gfa585le with offset .016mv on right and 1.13v on left wouldthis work for me just until i can get these caps worked on? thanks ken

it would work. you can get the amp recapped, but it could be costly. email me your address. I have a simpler solution for you.

I have a pair of cornwall ll's that i converted to cornscala by ph800 horn and k55m driver and alk ap12-500, es5800 xover that i would like to protect till i can get this fixed, sent you my address. thanks ken
