Default Gigawork F5

Just a query to those that probably know better... I was thinking of ordering a couple of these boards to drive some APT50's, but wonder if the circuit can really work at all without matched semiconductors? Also, who the heck makes those 240's?

Thanks all..

Why wouldn't you just buy these?

The Gigaworks are not the original circuit. The picture shows 2 caps in the circuit. Papa purposely left caps out so they couldn't alter the sound. Buy the DIY boards and either source the parts your self or buy them from the Tech-Diy store. That way you know you have the proper parts. The jfets shown in his pictures are not the beloved 170/74 they are 2sk107 and 2sk366.

Many thanks on the heads-up to all the forum work on this circuit. I see the matching is a non-question anyway since it's really a complmentary single-ended arrangement, but I should try to get better parts than are offered from gigawork. I will have to read the original F5 thread to know what I'm doing..

Is anyone offering a full kit like gigawork. I would prefer an amp using the original design but as a first time builder it is WAYYYY less stressful knowing everything is there in one kit.
